Just curious if any of you tinkers have tried to use spike it worm paint/worm and chunk paint on tpe(elaztec) plastic type baits? Will it melt? Thanks.

Not sure about the spike it paint but I know from experience that if you dip them in the dip N Dye then they will melt!

I watched a video on this and it is an actual paint not a dye therefore it’s not suppose to bleed. I can’t comment on the actual product as I have never used it but it did look intriguing. You can dip it or brush it etc. They did state that the dip will bleed and the paint will not.

The paint will not melt or bleed. The paint is more of a rubber then a dye. Only thing I can compare it to is liquid electrical tap. I have painted a whole bag of worm tails, let dry and put them back in the bag. They lasted the entire summer until I ran out. Love the paint better then the dye. You can get creative with that little brush. The color just pops!!!

Thanks for the replies-It is rather like rubber as TBW mentioned. I use the stuff on my saltwater plastics, to have contrasting colored tails. Wanted a chartreuse tail on a shrimp lure I use that’s made out of tpe, thanks.
