Guide Report Lake Waco - 10/27/17 12:01 AM

Yesterday afternoon I met a customer at Lake Waco about 3:30pm to do some White Bass fishing. We headed out across the lake on a perfect 80 degree sunny day and decided to see what was going on over at the dam. The first aerator we stopped at was holding fish, so we anchored up. The first lure tried was a white slab with mediocre results. Next, I caught some shad while he was working a diving crankbait. After the crankbait we tried live shad, silver spoons, tandem white marabou jigs, and several sizes and colors of bomber slabs. All of those yielded an occasional fish, but then we found what they really wanted.....a green and white Little George. When he started throwing that Little George he was hooking up with every cast. He was pulling in White Bass in the 2 lbs range with every throw! Just before sundown he had his limit of fish and we headed back to the boat ramp on the afternoon of one of the prettiest days I can remember. I sure love fall weather.

If you enjoy White Bass fishing then I can put you on them. Give me a call or text me at (817) 929-7636. My rate is $250 for 2 people, and $50 for each additional person up to 5 people. 1 child 12 or under fishes for free per trip. I offer morning or afternoon trips for White Bass on Lake Waco. Give me a call and book your trip today! My name is Charles.

Hah, that customer was me. Lol. Thanks again Charles for a fun afternoon. I'm still looking for that green and white Little George. Academy's and Walmart don't have it. I may have to paint my own with powder paint.
Ya'll need to give Charles a call. He's a great guy and he'll work his butt off for you.

Thanks for the kind words. I have been looking for that color as well. Powder paint may be the way to go.

I like the giant flutter spoons humdinger makes. They are inexpensive and excellent for hybrids. I buy mine at Boris marine whenever I'm in the N Fort Worth area. He also has the entire humdinger line so I'm sure you can find them there or order online. You may want to take a look at the ones RSR lures makes as well. They are called tailspins and I like to work them off the bottom like a TX rig, cast and wind, or you can even slab them.

You can also order directly from the guy who makes them. Call him at 817-475-3538. He is in North Rickland Hills, TX.
