Ray Hubbard Friday mid afternoon

Ray Hubbard Friday mid afternoon - 08/26/17 01:08 PM

Got out 11am to 2pm with a 45 mins rain delay at noon. Saw birds working at RP right of the bat but they were mostly rat 8" sandies, only a couple keepers. After the rain same birds and same schools were working so decided to investigate nearby structures. BAM! Marked the mother loads of magnums, catching almost on every cast for 1.5 hr. A legal hibbie and a short hibbie back to back were in the mix. No kitties, no drum, no crappie and amazingly NO YELLOW BASS!! LOL. All fish released except the legal hybrid that inhaled my mepps and gill hooked badly.

All caught on my hand crafted "SPT #4 mepps." smile Catching depth was 15 to 20 fow, wind 8 to 12 mph EAST. Water temp 83f. Air temp felt great only in the 80s for hot August?!! No SPT heat stroke today, Larry, Gene and Dennis! LOL

Few fun pics for the fun fishing community.... cheers

PS: Just got back from a 10 day vaca to the cooler upper upper Northeast : Boston, Maine, Niagara Falls, and Toronto. First timer there. Did the lobster catching trip and oyster farm tour trip. Only caught one pretty striper in the pic below LOL.

Nick, holler at me out on the lake or come over to the house or meet up. I bet you will like these better because it's slightly heavier and sinks faster. I experimented with many weighs and got the optimal weigh with ease blade spinning.
