RC...Last couple of days!

Fished in the rain on Thursday or did until the lighting started and then we got off the Lake around 9:30AM. Up until then, it was as good a Summer day as you could order up....Cloudy, Breezy, Drizzly, Temps in the 70's and everything just right for an awesome bite. Guess the Whites didn't like the weather as much as we did. After burning about 15 gallons of gas in 2 hours or so, we called it quits with a dozen fish. Thinking the weather was the reason for the slow bite on Thursday, we hit some of the same locations and several more today. A bit better results with 31 Keepers and 2X as many small throwbacks for a Dad & 14 yr. old Son Combo from Plano made for a FUN morning. August is turning out to be about as tough as it gets. I did see two Trollers picking up some Whites with their Hell/Pet Rig. Saw 4 boats in the past 2 days. Just no one fishing RC right now as School has started in some areas and lots of other things on folks minds. We called our Saturday Customers, told them RC is slow now and gave them the option to fish another day. Both Parties said "LET'S FISH"! We have the BEST CUSTOMERS you could ask for!!!

Royce, lot of birds were working schooling fish Thursday evening on the way to PI point. Some real nice Whites & Hybrids.

My Customers caught some Schooling Hybrids off Fisherman's Point on Thursday evening right before dark! Caught them from the bank. All Unders but they were Kiddos and had a ball!

I'll start offering some Afternoon trips in a couple of months but just too hot now for an old Sandbass Guide!

What a difference a day makes as Adam had a foursome and a 100 fish limit of Whites and my threesome caught their 75 fish limit! Go from lemons to lemonade in a couple of trips! Fish were all caught from one location on a ridge in 20' FOW on RSR Slabs and Jig Teasers. Unlike the fast moving schools of the past few trips, these fish stayed around till the ice chest was full!
