White bass graph pictures - 05/23/17 10:08 PM

I was wondering if anyone had any graph pictures of schooling white bass. I got a new fish finder and it would help to see what I should be looking for. It's a lowrance hook 7. It has sonar and down scan. Thanks in advance.

I found these a couple of weeks ago. Whites mixed with 16" to 18" Stripers for the most part, and a few bigger ones were caught.

TCK73 - I don't know what kind of fishfinder that is but WOW great screen shots. Not a lowrance or Hummingbird unit. What type is it.
I have a Lowrance and gets pretty good pictures.

For advice, look for the long noodles. Whites, Stripers and Hybrids look like noodles on the screen. The noodles which connect to the bottom are more likely to stay in one place when jigging then suspended ones.

not sure which you're referring too, but none of mine were. I typically take pictures during the middle of catching them once the school blows up. However some had hybrid/striper mixed in

Well, it is a Humminbird Onix.

As for the noodles you speak of, that all depends on frequency, chart speed and boat speed. I can make it look like noodles, but I prefer having target separation. My kid and I stayed on that school for nearly three hours, caught over 90 whites and 40-50 small Stripers. There were also some legal Stripers right on bottom we caught, but it was hard to set the jig past all the other fish before it reached bottom.

What he said. I took my picture while fishing a school feeding on the surface.
