Live bait question Tawakoni

Do any of you use small bream or perch for hybrids/stripers? Can't get to the lake early enough to catch shad most of the time. Was thinking about taking the wife to the boat slip and trying to catch a couple dozen small perch. I can keep them alive for a few days then use them? Thanks for the help. Sometimes I think I'm trying to take something fun and simple and trying to put too much thought into it. Comes with getting old I guess.

Last trip to pk caught a bunch of perch in cast net and the striper tore them up. 6 to 10 lbers all morning.

I think they work better then minnows.
