Lake Waco - 12/01/16 01:28 AM

I'll be visiting Lake Waco next week to do some fishing. I've never boated on this lake before. Are there specific concerns in running this lake, or is it pretty forgiving? I know I have seen stumps south of the twin bridges. Any suggestions on areas to target for whites/hybrids?

Fish the old Dam ! They raised the lake level , and their is a submerged Dam that holds all the shad, that are not up the river. The fish should be stacked on it? Merry Christmas , Hope it helps

Go to the Navionics Web App and pull up Lake Waco. Its free. Look for the humps and roads and you will find the places that are holding fish. It is a contour map with all of the details. Happy searching.

My best 3 spots there are the old dam especially the section east of the river bed, old Highway 6 roadbed especially the east end and the myriad of structures just west of the west end of the old dam, which you can see with the contour map mentioned above.
