Cedar Creek Report 11/26/2016 - 11/27/16 02:01 PM

Took neighbor out at 9AM for 3 1/2 hours, and it was slow. Caught 25 total: 20 whites, a 19 inch hybrid, a short hybrid, an LMB and 2 keeper sized yellow bass. Did the best at Pole Dance Point and Flagpole Point. Went back out by myself from 1:40 to 5PM and after much searching ended up with 50: 44 whites, an 18 inch hybrid, 2 short hybrids, a 4 lb blue cat and 2 keeper yellow bass. Only caught significant quantities of fish at 2 spots: Game Warden Hump and the Old Pond Dam (not on map). Ran into ROB4 ,his daughter and son-in-law at Old Pond Dam, where they had been catching fish for a while. Old Pond Dam is a very small structure with the top of the dam at 14 fow at present surrounded by 20+ fow. It was covered with fish and sat there and caught fish almost every cast from about 4:15 til 5 PM. Other places I looked included Campbell's Hump, Dam Drop-off, Dam Ridge, Staubach Hump, Key Ranch Drop-off, 3 Jug Hump, Merimac Point, Spillway Hump, Iron Wall Hump and Enchanted Isle Ridge. Tried only Mepps #4 today. Water temp was 65.5 degrees. All fish were hugging the bottom - continuous, connected bumps along the bottom of the structure.

Did you try the Meredith Hump ? It's right before the Staubach hump.

Great seeing you out there Dennis! What an awesome day to be out there, sunshine, flat water, and watching my kids catch hybrids. That was actually the first place we tried, and never left. Had to explain to them that this doesn't happen every time we go out. Was funny that I had my son-in-law watch your YouTube video, to show him what we'd be doing, and then seeing you out there...
