Whitey proved illusive on Hubbard

Whitey proved illusive on Hubbard - 09/24/16 02:13 AM

Took the boat out for her maiden fishing voyage this afternoon. Got started about 4pm. Lake had small white caps on it not sure of actual wind speed water temp 83 degrees. Started off down south, graphed lots of fish but only managed to land this green trash fish and his little green crappie cousin. Also boated a yellow bass which I think made up the majority of the fish I was graphing. Lots of bumps and little bites but not a single white bass. Drove the boat around some and let the kids swim then headed north where I put another green trash fish in the boat and Adam managed to HOOK a limit of green fish in 30 minutes. Emphasis on HOOK because he managed to lose every single one at the side of the boat. We are going to have to have long talk about not realing fish in to your rod tip and then teach that boy how to boat flip! Boat ran great even in the chop! So far I could not be happier with my new ride. Here's a few pictures!

Just keeping with the old way of doing things. Don't want to be called to task again for giving up all the hot fishing holes. If background blurring is no longer in style please let me know as its a tedious extra step for me.That all being said let's be honest. If a person were trying to keep a fishing location secret only blurring out backgrounds on good days wouldn't make much sense. Just because the fish aren't biting one day doesn't mean they won't be the next. But if you are looking for places to avoid fishing I can help you out. Never fish the 30 bridge, the buoy, the park, down by the dam, anywhere near Yankee Creek or Porno cove. Certainly don't fish anywhere near peanuts wind blown points or power plants. Stay away from those spots and you should have no trouble keeping little fish out of your boat. thumb

*1 I don't remember the last time I saw a picture that is blurred out. Sharing is caring. You only live once, who knows what's gonna happen the next day. Just show how Greddy and selfish a person is. 2cents

Didn't even notice you blurred the bad ground until the crybabies chimed in. Lol. I know where that cloud is so I'm going to be on your spot tomorrow.

Looks like the edge of the breakwall at Chandler's in that last pic.

Nope but I did catch a little Dink there today on a Jig. I rarely fish Chandlers except on days like today when I am trying to hide from the wind! I never have learned to flip docks very well. Something I am really hoping to do this time round!
