Ray Hubbard and Lewisville Marinas

Ray Hubbard and Lewisville Marinas - 09/15/16 02:43 PM

I am thinking of moving to a different marina, from 121 on Lewisville. What is the status of the different marinas on Ray Hubbard, with the huge new development starting. I was in Capt Cove back in the 1980's. I am also considering moving to Hidden Cove on Lewisville. Thanks.

Was told Bayview the largest matina is moving out, their contract with the city is up. CaptN Cove, Harbor Bay, and Chandlers are good but may be filling up quick? CaptN Cove may be land locked during the drought I believe. More knowledgeable folks may chime in.

Harbor Bay during the drought was moved out to deeper water. They have gas, snacks, minnows, and a small selection of lures and other live/frozen bait and they open up very early 6am or earlier I believe. They have a nice courtesy dock right by the ramp. Harbor Bay is pretty clean compared to other marinas, Bayview is very clean as well. Not real sure about the future of Bayview Marina, there really isn't anywhere else to move to on the lake so I would be a little hesitant to move in there just my honest opinion.

Bayview is losing their legal battle against the developer of the Robertson park area and will soon have to move out. 2 weeks ago, a judge threw out the lawsuit filed by the Bayview owner, and that afternoon a fence went up across the entrance while police showed up to escort the owner off the property. He has since filed an appeal, and so the waiting begins again. Lots of drama there for sure. There will be a marina in that location run by the new development that will be class A+, full concierge, everything you could want from a marina, if you can afford it. Lots of current boat owners have been transferring from Bayview across the lake to HarborBay since it is owned by the same guy/company. But it will fill up fast at HarborBay, and once the lawsuit appeal is settled, you know there be lots of boats looking for a new home. So I would act fast, if you are moving this way.

Thanks for the details on Bayview Marina dkvonn, I've asked a lot of people and known one seems to known anything. I did notice the fence put up and cameras inside the parking lot a couple of weeks ago.
