Topwater time has arrived.

Watching a guide boat chase huge blowups in Neely Slough right now. Reminds me of the kids game keep away. First there's a 50 x 50 area of splashing 100 yards from the boat. They use the trolling motor to get close, but by the time they get there it's gone. Then, the blowup happens back were they were originally.

Frustrating game, but I think I'll be waking a Red Fin later today.

Are they picking up little schoolies or decent fish?

I thought about going over there this evening and busted my prop on a rock at the ramp!

I don't know the size of the fish. Might be small. I fished last night with a green light using ghost minnows and was surprised to catch a bunch of sand bass under 5 inches. Never had that happen before. PK is very strange this year.
