Striper report Texoma update July 21st - 07/19/16 06:36 PM

Howdy,

Most fish that are being caught early are white bass. I have seen top water boils on flats. The boils are not lasting more than 20 mins. The key is right time right place, be patient. Trust the fish finder, if they are there and not biting wait a bit and let that sun work that metabolism up. White bass have been caught on slabs and on live bait(for slower days).

The striped bass are being caught in deeper water. They are not in big schools and require good work to find them. They will be in 20 ft of water early on but will move deep by 10. Remember striper feed up, if they are marking at 25 ft, you should fish 22 ft. Stripers caught on live bait, slabs, and trolling depending on area. Today the striper caught: 6 striper, kept 5. 4 fish ranging 10-14 lbs and 1 box fish that was throat hooked. We are throwing back the smaller striper.
Here are a few pics from the last 2 weeks and some from today:

White bass were tough today. Found a good solid group of striper.
