What are the best lakes for size & numbers?

What are your ideas of say the top 10 or maybe just the top 5 ?

TIA !

We are fishing Tawakoni now. Winds a bit much for my safety liking with my wife and kids but we love this lake !! Have reeled in more than we deserve lol. A ton of 16-17.5" Striper & hybrid and a bunch of legal sized as well.

My lil family will be spoiled now lol. Just looking for input on what other folks consider the top lakes. We live in Palo Pinto County about 30 minutes south of Possum Kingdom but it's still pretty muddy.

I'm a big fan of Bridgeport. Caught more fish there than any other.

Whitney was easily one of the top lakes before the Golden Algea and now the floods. it will hopefully come back again

He asked about the top lakes in texas for size and numbers..
there's no lake in texas where you can catch more yellow bass than at Benbrook. You can't beat the numbers.
Is there hybrids, yes.. would you catch them, maybe.... tough [censored] lake to fish but millions of yellow bass..
I guarantee you would tear up the yellow bass

Not against the yellow bass !! It could be fun to catch a boat load !

I'm wanting to hit Whitney !!!

After being here at Tawakoni I've got the itch for BIG stripers & hybrids !!

So far 5 pounds 14 ounces is my biggest hybrid. Did not weigh any of the strikers though.

Just staying with sandbass, hybrids and stripers. My favorite lakes are PK, Texoma, Tawakoni, Richland Chambers, Granbury, Ray Roberts, Lewisville and Bridgeport. Not necessarily in that order.

Man.. we all see so differently. All jokes aside. Benbrook sucks.. I can fish the lake like a champ but I live 2 miles away..
Sandbass is close in my eyes but I would be a fool to give my true opinion.
Get out and catch some fish

Right now I wouldn't consider texoma even top 10. Fish populations are way down since the flood, top would probably be tawakoni and then everything else.

Even though I bought a house on Whitney recently, I still feel that Tawakoni is king. I miss that place.

Thanks folks !

We spent a week at Tawakoni and all I can say is WOW !!! What a fishery !!!!
We turned back a TON of fish but yet still kept enough for the freezer. Was a blessing to be able experience the lake with my entire family reeling in quality fish !!

May hands are raw and cut to pieces but well worth it to see everyone smiling & having a good time !!!
