Rumor about Eagle Mountain

There is a rumor floating around a guy caught about 50 on Eagle Mountain in a little over
a hour. More on this rumor tomorrow. Everything is 2 months behind.

caught a one man limit in 5 fow. not a record but boated mine

this is the first time i have ever caught sandbass following birds on EM. and they are in shallow water. and a lot of boats there.I was very surprised to find them.

Wow. Never caught a fish under birds there either.

yea im used to seeing that a twok. but i guess it can happen. there was about 6 to 7 boats there and of course the trollers.

At times we catch lotz under birds. Has not been much bird action last couple of years. I use slabs on
the edge of bird action otherwise they will be dinks. I was under a few birds had them
by my self today and they were some really good fish on the bottom.
I normally will not fish birds because of the number of people around them and most of the
time they will be dinks as opposed to the fish on the humps and ridges .

Nice job Johnny, BTW, I used your slabs a lot this spring and we wore the sandies out with them. A few of them feel like sandpaper from the fishes mouth being on them so much lol..

yes we do .cant catch them all the time but you do once in a while. and no i dont have you mixed up. i am the small john boat and talked to you face to face many of times.i have talked to you many times at twin points. back when the lake was low . and the last time you sent me a PM was in 2012

It is solid advice. The only problem with those slabs is that the dam hooks wear out at around 1000 fish!

Wow.... This took a weird turn

I used to jack with rattle snakes when I was kid, took me a few times to learn to not pick on the "older wiser" ones, took em longer to bite, but it hurt a hell of a lot worse.
