Checked out the website and it looks fun. Can someone explain how it works? From what I gathered it is a launch at 6 and done by 12 deal. Do you just catch as many as possible and then weigh in? Also, will there be any information on how to join the LTSA? Once I get done with classes in July I'd like to look into joining. Tawakoni has become one of my favorite lakes and I'd like to invest myself into it a little more

You weigh in 5 fish, you are welcome to keep a limit if you wish.

More than one entry can fish in a boat but everyone in the boat must pay an entry fee.

You must have a way to identify fish caught by each entrant in the boat, no pooling of fish is allowed.

I'm looking forward to it as well. I started fishing tawakoni last year and quickly fell in love with the quality of fish. I'd like to look into joining LTSA as well, a good way to give back to the lake that gives me so much enjoyment, stress relief, and good eats. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys as well.

What do you generally auction off? Tackle?

If anyone decides to get to the ramp really early AND sees a little short feller wandering around in the parking lot like he is lost or maybe has had a beer or TWO .... Don't call the cops and stay calm !!! It's probably OSER ,, he is harmless

I'm going to donate a pack of my custom painted slabs and tail spinners to the auction. Been painting on and off for almost 10 days now. Having a hard time deciding when to stop adding baits to the box. Every time I think I'm done I look at it and realize there's patterns, styles and sizes I should have in there. I might need help getting the box out of the truck.

What kind of weight usually gets in the money. Does 5 Sand Bass at 2lbs each or 10bs have a chance. A 2 lb Sand Bass is a nice fish to me.

Good question, GB. Base from the last 4 year's results, 10# will most likely win first place. The winning weights from the last 4 years were 7.5# to 9.8#. Buddy Gene won in 2012 with 9.3#. Buddy Austin VIP (Hubbard's best potlicker ) got 9.8# in 2013.

My spider sense tells me this year, the winning weight will be around 7.5# range lol

@ SeaProTodd, yep I think 2 lb Sand Bass are what ya need! I will also predict Live Bait will win this year! 10 to 12 lbs will get ya in the Money

I will be using Moe's tackle. I am not a live bait guy. It's not numbers we are looking for it is quality and size.

Please excuse my ignorance ... but this is my first LTSA tournament.

Trailering means you can launch at any ramp on lake?
If I registered online, I only need to show up at weigh in prior to 12:00?
Do I have to show up in boat or can I drive with fish in cooler to weigh in?

Kelly great question! Yes you can launch at any ramp and you can drive in the state park with just your sandbass that you will weigh in at or before 12 noon with your ticket number from online or at the state park boat ramp!
