Has anyone fished the narrows?

I went to the narrows yesterday. a little tricky getting there, since spur 411 is closed due to bridge
construction. you go north instead of turning at the store and turn right after the bridge and
work your way to the narrows. i ave never seen so much water, it did not look like the same place.
caught no fish, you need a boat or kayak to fish.

Took the kids out there last weekend. Marked a few fish after the first bend upriver from the ramp but the wind was too brutal to fish there. Tried some protected spots and got skunked. The guy I talked to coming in said he picked up three whites and a catfish all morning.
