Can you spot the trash fish?

Well Michael is still spanking the hybrid down on Conroe and we've come across a bit of a pattern that I've seen before on good largemouth bass fisheries. Sometimes while deadsticking a nice arch will appear at 7 to 10' and I was always curious as to what it was so I started raising my fluke up to find out. Almost every time I get it to bite its a black bass. I've seen it mostly on Palestine and can consistently catch solid numbers of bass on lake Athens deadsticking.

Give us a call if you want in on the action!

What? You ate a Black Bass? I thought that was considered hanging offense nowadays...

Haha I don't really care much for them. Its more an inside joke with my close friends and family. We grew up catching catfish with my grandpa and it always made me cringe when those arrogant tournament bass guys would call them trash fish. So, I would just go catch a limit of good clean largemouth to eat and make sure my buddies knew about it. I've always found it a little funny when a guy will take 5 of the largest female bass he can find off their beds for a tournament and then look down on an old man with a stringer of five fish. (I wonder who killed more fish that day)

There's no shortage of Black bass. I throw every legal one I catch into the ice unless they are too big.

These Bass guys whine about people keeping a legal bass but will go out on a tourney and fish Carolina rigs and kill hundreds of small bass. I see it all the time. Turtles and Blue Herons probably look forward to Bass Tournaments.
