A Cedar Creek Lake Report 10/26/2015; added 10/27/2015 - 10/27/15 04:17 AM

10/26/2015 Didn't venture far today with 20 mph winds whipping up big waves. My dock is in protected water making Saint Annes Point, Swing-set Hump, and the other spots on the north shore of Clear Creek arm of the lake available to me. I hit the 2 mentioned above between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM today and managed to catch 39: 13 whites, 13 keeper yellow bass, 5 short hybrids, 4 cats and 4 legal hybrids. Fish were in 18 to 22 fow and caught em on #4 Mepps. Tried 2's and 3's but no takers. Even in protected water I was getting bounced around by the wind and waves. Lake is full after all the rain and water temp was 70 degrees. Pelicans are back and large flocks of cormorants. Haven't seen any loons yet, though I saw where Fastguy had seen one.

10/27/2015 Went to same area but different structure - Flagpole Point. Caught 41: 26 whites, 10 keeper yellow bass, 2 legal hybrids, an LMB, a 6 lb cat and a short hybrid. Caught most of these on a #2 and the rest on #4 Mepps in water depths 14 to 18 fow.

thanks for info - i am deep in a cove on SW corner of lake - never ventured out, but caught several black bass and a few yellow from the bank and our dock - you are right about pelicans and cormorants- my dog barks at pelicans for some reason so thats how i spotted them - saw the cormorants "marching" up and down our cove all day - also saw a few loons - active baitfish, but sure the big 'uns are still out in more open water...
