A few homemade white bass baits.

A few homemade white bass baits. - 10/26/15 12:50 AM

I decided to make some inline spinners since I've had Great luck with Dennis Christian's Mepps technique. I'm curious to see how my lures will compare. I have caught countless whites on my crappie jigs styled after Jigum's Halo Magic, so I made a few that color as well. All of the lure bodies are powder coated with UV reactive paint. All tips, feedback, and criticism are appreciated. This is my first time pouring the lure bodies and making the inline spinners.

Awesome job, those look great...
How do you paint them?

Also, I have about 30 single "big" blades somewhere...
Glad to send 10 blades to you, if and when I can find them...lol
And if you send me back 1 finished lure for 10 blades... smile

They are powder coated and cured so they should hold up great. What kind of blades do you have? I have tons of blades, just only one size French blade.

I have done the same thing and made my own in line spinners. Pretty fun to build them. The one thing that I noticed on the mepps spinners is that the blade is almost 3/4 the total size of the bait. The ones I made were like 1/2 the size of the overall bait. Not sure if this changes anything, but I am guessing there is some serious research that mepps does on there blades, because there is not really anyone who duplicates them that well according to the gurus.
