Texoma Question - 10/22/15 12:49 PM

Howdy Ya'll,
I was curious if Texoma is starting to spark again with the cooler weather patterns moving in yet. I plan on a top water fly fishing trip with the family but don't want to be skunked. I don't mind not catching fish, but i have a couple of first timers and would like for them to experience the addiction. Thanks in Advance.

If all you wanna do is not get skunked, bring your 3wt and any small baitfish pattern. . . . . . .head for 3-5fow and you can catch all the 4-6" stripers and sandies you want. . . . . on a calm day you will see them all over the place on top.

You'll find the occasional 10" fish mixed in. . . . and if you're at the right place just before dark you might luck into a few good box fish.

Thanks for the reply, I just might do that. I have a 3wt that needs to be broken in.
