Tough, tough day. Tried all my traditional spots, drop-offs and ridges --- nothing but a 9 pound carp and a small catfish, and a good hour and a half of consistent rain. After way too long and too many spots, I found a ridge north of the island holding a few fish. See pictures; I did not end up keeping these, because it had by that point been a long day and would have taken a lot longer to limit out. Also caught several non-keepers are this new ridge spot. Depth 14-17, water temp 83 degrees.
FYI, the sandbass were LOVING the white flea fly atop the slab. White did the trick in the fairly stained water. The fish were absolutely going for this small white jig, and not much else.
