Tawakoni Thursday late afternoon report - 09/04/15 02:37 PM
Ray, Terry and I had a fun time at Twok yesterday from about 2:30 to 7:30pm. My first time on Twok in 15 months. Wow, the lake and Holiday Marina facility look great!!! Awesome job, Holiday and mother nature!
We marked good fish and boated good sandies and several under striper and hybrids at the first spot. Thanks to tips from Larry! After that played out, we went looking for birds and top water actions because heard they were hot, fast and furious the day before. It took a while but we finally found them. Several groups of birds working at once, few hundred yards apart. But they would dissipate as we get closer, catching ones or twos then gone! It's was a bit frustrating seeing that many birds and big splashes and not catch a hundred lol. But we caught enough and had a great time. Kept a few for Rays friend and my Mom this weekend. Thanks for the invite LadiesMan and DocWhiplash! Another fun trip as anticipated
Water temp 86 degrees. Catching depth mostly 10 to 25 ft and a few at 45 ft where they were schooling. Birds were active in the deep middle of trees too. wind SE about 10 mph.
I haven't done a report in a while. Hope this will help the fishing community some
Here are the proofs!
