Richland Chambers Fishing Good!

Richland Chambers Fishing Good! - 05/20/15 09:26 PM

Haven't posted much lately as we've been fortunate to have a Lake fill completely up and the bite has only got better! We're fishing everyday and the norm is limits of Whites, a few Keeper Hybrid and LOTS of undersized Hybrids! RC is 6" above Pool Level & water clarity is good. The White Bass action has been very good and the Hybrid bite fair. There's been a little schooling activity early AM on the South Shoreline near Fisherman's Point, but 90% of our fish are coming on Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com) in the Pelican Island area, Old 287 Roadbed and Main Lake Points. Look for the fish in 25' to 35' depths and you'll need to feel good about your electronics as the bird action is not happening. The live bait fisherman are doing better on the 309 Flats for the bigger Hybrids.

We're now booking Weekdays in June and July, but our Saturdays are full till August. We fish everyday except Sunday and specialize in Family Fishing Fun! Check out our "Package Special" (Trip and Cabin) at www.gonefishin.biz .

Pics below are from the past three days!

Where were all these fish during the winter?

Re: Richland Chambers Fishing Good! - 05/21/15 02:59 PM

bang The last two Winters folks have written off RC as fished out and given up on it! The last two Springs have proven us wrong. We just changed tactics and caught Catfish from October thru March when the Whites and Hybrids disappeared. juggle Maybe this year with water conditions back to normal we'll keep on catching them, but if not...
