Now for a Lewisville report - 01/06/13 12:58 AM
Looks like everyone has caught some good fish lately. Lewisville turned on today. Tom and I caught a total of 10 nice hybrids late this afternoon. Conditions were great! Here is a picture from today with my largest to date hybrid from LL. It was 25 1/4 inches. All fish CPR'D.

We caught them on various colored jigs with shassy shad type plastics. Burnt orange jighead was the prefered color of the day. They all came from 28 to 35 feet deep. I also caught a solid 17 inch sand bass. It was like what you catch at Tawakoni!

It was slow today. We had fun though. My son caught his first Texoma striper. A 19 pounder.

Nice going Ron and Tom
17" sandie is huge! I deadsticked a fatty 16 incher sandie on Friday also and forgot to mention it on my report. LOL.

Dicster, yes we were primarily dead sticking. I always like to cast and drag the bottom some just to see and I did catch a few sandies doing that. They hooked up on the bottom in 42 feet of water. Todd, TP&W says a "big" sand bass is only 15 inches. Now if I can only luck into a 15 inch "big" crappie.

Good work there, Ron & Tom. I was out there with BigDad and had about 10 hybrids take the soft plastic. Were you in the pontoon? If so, I saw you. We were in the same general area. Our fish were suspended at about 30 feet. BigDad out fished me yesterday. The fish were gone by the time I could set the hook. The bite was better using the rod holder, but I never caught one that way.
It was a perfect day with low wind.
Tomorrow I have an early Doctor's appointment and plan to give LL another try about noon.

Nice toad Ron. Glad you stopped by the house and was good talking to you. Hope to be back on the water soon and see you out putting a catching clinic on the hybrids.
Get to feeling better Fakawi.

Yes. Still a great value even if you only use it once a month
