Party boat Sand Bass trips on Lake Lavon

Starting June 4, Monday thru Friday we will have Party boat trips for sand bass on Lake Lavon. 75 per person, I furnish all Tackle and Bait. You bring your drinks and snacks and a cooler for your fish. Half day trips, 7am till 11am. east fork park off 78. Singles are encouraged to book, we will try to get at least 3 or 4 people if we can and combine everyone into a nice group.. Max of 6.

Monday and Tuesday were a bust. Weather blew in an forced us off the lake. Never had a chance to do much, caught a dozen then had to run for cover. Im open rest of week for party trips

Sand Bass are on fire at Lake Lavon, 12 to 18ftw. White and yellow slabs are working best. Easy limits early mornings. Call to book a trip weekday or weekend. need three during week an 4 on weekends, can take up to 6, Im fishing from a 25 ft pontoon. 75 per person, lets get some fish!

Sand Bass were in 30ftw on bottom close to island, yellow slabs an white coho's were the dinner of choice. I had a full boat booked, but they cancelled at last minute. Larry and I scouted a little and boated over a hundred sandys before 9am. kept about 20 mags and let rest go...call if interetsed

WOW! what a great day, way over 200 sand bass. 29 to 33 ftw off the island we caught mainly dinks. Silver slabs and white jigs. In 23 to 29 ftw near water inlet for the power plant we caught yellows and keeper sand bass up to 13.5 in 23 ftw on yellow slabs and yellow grubs and or sliver slabs. You had to kinda lure them in by bouncing an then a real fast retrieve. We mostly got doubles an triples this way. got keepers and mags almost every drop. we were done by 11, started at 9...call to book

Yep! We caught them pretty good at about 19ftw... lots of dinks and yellows mixed in... keep a few mags

Today was a little tough on Lavon, fish were scattered mostly around the dam. Chartruse little George produced the biggest fish, as well as small hot spots. We got a lot of dinks on slabs, yellow and white, an yellow an black and orange grubs also produced dinks. Fish never stayed up very long and mover quit fast. We had a very fun day with 93 sand bass. We worked hard for every one! lol

Lavon was great today! I had 4 little girls on board and they wore me and the fish out! Doubles almost every drop. They kept a few for supper and put the rest back. Whit slabs were best and any color of jig. Fish were blowing up at the damn at 6:15 till about 9. then scattered. Lots of dinks and 10 an 11 in fish

This week sand bass have been good and bad. When you find them they are on and lots of them. They seem to be moving quite fast. I have been catching a ton of 9 in fish. When you find a school of larger fish they are vicious! The glass house has had the biggest fish so far for me this year, then the flats between the little ridge point and hybrid point. The dam has produced tons of fish, but mostly dinks. So far the best combo has been chartruse slab and chartruse jig. Best depth for us has been 20 to 30ftw. I have open days, call for a trip

Sand bass were thick at the dam near Lavonia south ramp. Busting every where, good for about an hour then moved on. White slabs and any color jig. The glass house also produced some nice magnums on same baits. This is a great time to take the kids for a lot of action. Two fish at a time gets the kiddos going! call and lets go fish!

Seems Ella caught a possible lake record! We didn't know till later in day that a 16.5 Sand Bass would have at least made the JR. record!! Ella is a great frisher girl ! She had 10 fish in the boat before I ever caught one. She was catching doubles left and right. We had a single limit of sand bass by 7am, an ended up catching a three man limit

Not a bad morning on Lavon, little guys had a blast! Even 5yr old can catch doubles...166 total fish in the boat
