The boats used for white bass fishing - 05/11/18 03:17 PM
I have added a picture of the 2 boats I own and use for white bass fishing. Lest you think I am showing off, the one on the left is a 22 year old VIP green/crème Deckliner and the one on the right is a 17 ft 13 year old aluminum PolarKraft bass boat. I am in the bass boat most of the trips out and use it for all trips to other lakes. When I take out a party of 3 or more on Cedar Creek Lake I use the VIP. I decided to show the boats because I want other anglers to know they are welcome to come fish along side if they see me out on the water. If you have read very many of my posts, you know that I want to help others learn the Mepps technique while I am still around, hence, if you see me out there catching them you are welcome to come join me.

Very generous of you Dennis. To rare an attitude these days.
I am sure I have seen you before but I normally stay far enough away from others that I am not sure. Next time out I will try to come say hello.
We are nearly neighbors and neighbors should get to know one another.

Very kind of you sir. +1 on the neighbor comment as well. 2nd greatest commandment after all....
I should have stopped and said hi or waved u over on cinco de mayo Dennis. I was in that red bass tracker fishing on saint Anne’s point ( I believe that is what u call that one) my self and a buddy set up shop there and tore me up from 1pmish till 5 I’d say. I though I saw u idle close for a second, saw us fishing and then scooter on down the lake eastward. The Mepps technique worked like a charm. Thanks for that generous tip on that technique as well. One of my and Seapro Todd and many others I know way to fish....

If a guy was going to make his first trip to CC for a WB trip would the County Ramp on 198 be a good place to start the adventure?
Any boating hazards that I would need to be aware of? Usually fish Palestine so I am somewhat used to dodging trees.
Thanks for any advice!

Good ramp. No trees or stumps in the lake. For Crappie locate brush. For whites scan points.
Go to the original post by Dennis and view his map. Lonk under his signature.
Good fishing.
