Canyon Lake evening Striper

Showed up to Canyon at 4pm. Wind was coming from the East pretty steady and I didn’t have high hopes. Saw a line of clouds coming and knew it could turn on. Made a run towards mid lake and the birds were on them. Huge flock of birds. Striper and whites had bait run up against the banks and didn’t care about the rough water. They stayed up from 4:30 till dark. Not sure how many were caught but it was a bunch. Awesome evening!

What lure were they hitting the best?

Zoom Super Fluke on a 3/8oz jig head. And a 3” basspro squirmin shad on a 1/4oz jig head. Find the birds and you’ll see the splash and cast into it. It’s been a blast.
