Texoma Today

Took my 9yr old son Austin out for a day of fishing
Told him we won’t do great today because of the post
Front blue bird skies but let’s give a shot
We checked a few good ol spots I have fished for years
The fish were there but not biting
So I tried a few new things and it paid off
Austin landed a nice 29” 9 lbr and we had a double hook
Up with him catching a nice 6lbr and I was fighting a solid
8lbr
Numbers we low but size was good
Good to be back on Texoma and good to see she
Is fishing great again

Always a good day with the kiddos catching fish.

Very nice Chris. I love seeing kiddos catching fish. They are our future and hopefully will be taking us Fishing as we get older.

Forgot to post how we caught them

Austin has been working and his bait caster skills and he nailed it today
All fish we caught making long cast over humps and ditches in 15-20 fow
Lure of choice today was 5”and 6” glow sassys slow slow slow

His 9lbr came off the end of a Long cast and as he was reeling it up
She hammered it...almost pulled the rod of his hands..it was an awesome fight

He is all over me to make another trip....” dad I have to get a double digit “

Get him that Double Digit fish dad!!! Excellent day!
