Why I Love Trout Fishing ! Broiled Rainbow Trout!

Broiled some Rainbow Trout the other night and they turned out GREAT! Eating a fresh trout dinner. It just don't get any better!

The trout looks awesome, but...tell me more about the cake!

Thanks 1960texan for the reply. The cake is a homemade pound cake with white cream cheese icing. That with a hot cup of coffee puts a GREAT END to any meal.

Tell me about the beans and cornbread! Have you ever put those rainbow trout over hot charcoal or on a hot gas grille? Rub them inside and out with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and Tony Chachere's More Spice Seasoning. I enjoy catching, cleaning,cooking and eating fish!

Pinto Beans mixed with tomato paste, ham, and onion. The corn bread mix was Betty Crocker. Great combinations for a fish dinner. Also the salad was super. Healthy cooking also.

I love fly fishing. It's one of the most relaxing ways to fish because it's so unstressful in it's simplicity.

Do those trout have many bones? I see you did not fillet them so are they pretty bone free?

Thanks Sopwell Fishing and Dan90201 for the replies. Dan. There are a lot of small bones in trout. The meet easily pulls away from the bones but you always need to watch for bones. I fillet my Crappie,White Bass,and Catfish but usually do not on the sunfish and trout.

Superb! I like to coat mine with just a touch of flour (& seasoning) and then pan fried. yum!

That is how I prepare all of my trout either fry,broil,or grill! I heard that grilling them with liquid/smoke sauce works well!

Not a big fish eater,but the cake looks a sounds good!

Thanks Pot licker for the reply. That cake was very GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Curtis: Never tried the liquid smoke sauce ! I have heard from people that have used it on meats and most have said they did not like it.
