Early Fall Creek Action! Rio Bite on FIRE! - 10/03/16 12:20 PM
Fished a local creek and the bite was "ON FIRE"! I was only going to fish for a couple of hours but the bite was so good I ended up fishing till dark. Caught well over 30 very nice Rios all in the 9 to 10 inch range. The Rios were fat and full of fight! Rounding out the catch were some very nice Bluegill and Longear. The creek is in GREAT shape with plenty of fresh water(due to last weeks 6" rain fall) and very good current. The fish are in their fall feeding patterns and are active. Fish were caught staging at the ends of fast moving water holding close to the bank. Bottom techniques were used and all fish were caught on the bait of champions worms. Fish were released and I left them biting! Getting some GREAT local creek action. It just don't get any better!
