Dunlap 8/30/16 - 08/30/16 08:09 PM
Been a while since last fished Dunlap. Water temp 76 degrees and water clarity impoving, especially at upper end. Fished 7:30 - 12:30 with nightcrawlers on bottom around overhanging trees. Caught maybe 30-35 various bluegill, but very size challenged. Did get 2 nice Rios...the one in the pic, an its twin brother. Had one bass (pic) and a few catfish. Not sure what happened to the nice redear ? (Have my theories) The most exciting fish story from the trip involved a killer bass. Was speed reeling in a 3 inch bluegill, when just before pulling it in the boat a gigantic bass attacked ! It missed the bluegill, but splashed water in the boat and on me. Had to be 7 - 8 lbs. Good thing I take toilet paper along ! ...v
