what Temps do sun fish move deeper - 07/02/16 03:44 PM
Seem to running into small ones everywhere we go, off bank
If I'm correct they spawn every full moon as long as the water temp is 60+

There will always be a part of the population by the bank some where, but warm water past 75-ish will make the bite negative. Once the surface temp gets much over that, the more active biters will be in deeper water that is close to their shallow haunts. This is also the time to catch some really nice ones on more off shore humps.
Right now during the "dog days if summer" I am catching nice ones in 12 to 15 feet of water holding by brush piles. Also pulling nice fish inside boat slips 10 to 12 feet of water!

Usually summer time patterns fish will go to deeper water. Drop offs, ledges, and sunken structure will usually hold some nice fish.
