Nice haul. How deep were you getting them?

Thanks for replies Banker and Laker one. I was fishing with a drop shot rig in hydrilla. Depth varied, but not deep. From probably a foot below surface to maybe five feet. Hard to fish bottom rigs in grass, lot of sinker and hook hand-ups, sharp jerks to free it. Tried using 1/16 and 1/32 ounce jigs, have to slowly reel them along tops of grass. Didn't get many takes that way. May try a cork next time, but in the past that hasn't worked very well either. Hard to set the depth with some grass growing high and some low. Anyway, drop shot is my old reliable this time of year, even with the grass hang-up problems.

Thanks for the reply SK. Agree, they are great fish to eat, crappies and bluegills (and their cousins) are my favorite. Dark from being in vegetation.
Very pretty fish and good eating for sure! Great report!
