Anyone know what the water temperature is on Lake Travis? When it gets up to about 85 degrees, I want to find a a good place on the lake to fish in my float tube.

Around 70. It should be up to 85 by August.

the temp yesterday was 74...there may not be a 85 this summer depending on water releases and power generations. Perhaps back in cypress creek area, or other larger arms will not have the colder influx of main lake water.

I wade in about knee deep when I launch and it does seem like it's taking longer than usual to warm up this year. I'm sure there is some historical data somewhere on line but I havn't looked for it.

Lake Travis is one of the few lakes that have real time water temperature on line. Look at this site.

The current surface temperature is 76 degrees.
