Dunlap 4/26/16 - 04/26/16 08:59 PM
Had a trip planned for Fayette today, but lake still closed due to High water. So...chased some sunfish around Dunlap. Water temp 68 degrees and clarity much better than last week. Water still pretty swift, but manageable. Started out around islands at upper end of lake...shallow...little luck...moved down river just past South Bank homes and bite got real good from 10:45 til 12:30. Caught and released 50 plus, but kept a few for the pan. Also caught 2 bass / kept one...and lost a pretty large one that broke off on a dock. Fishing nightcrawlers Texas Rig style on the bottom...most fish came in shallow water CLOSE TO DEEP water. Looking for more rain tonight, but this time it's forecasted, so probably won't happen...
