Plan on taking my nieces and nephew fishing for blue gills for spring break. Any reports for the area? Thanks in advance.

Haven't been out after sunnies so far this year... but I don't want you to feel shunned!

Actually, I lied; tried White Rock Creek twice, blanked both times.

The sunfish have not started biting much in the North Texas area. However, if I had kids who wanted to fish I would try the creek end of Capp Smith Park in Watauga. If you can get a sunny day the bluegill, green sunfish and yellow bullheads will be biting in the creek where Starnes Road crosses the park off the old Denton highway (377).

Thanks. Looks pretty sunny over the weekend. I'll take them over to check it out.
