Last Bluegill of 2015

Last Bluegill of 2015 - 12/30/15 10:27 PM

Yesterday I went out jigging for crappie with mild success. I did decide to see if the bluegill were biting and sure enough I caught about 15. 3 or 4 were decent size and would've made the cut if I was keeping fish. Hard to tell in the pic, but that one was your standard 6.75"-7.25" eater. Glad I gave them a chance as I thought the cold weather would've shut them down. Looking forward to a productive 2016 with a bunch of fat fish that have been eating good with all the rain this area has gotten. Happy New Year to all the TFF sunfish fanatics!

every one I caught had beautiful coloring. I caught one greenie and a couple of LMB that were yellowish for the species. The crappie coming out are plain ol' white crappie.
