Mixed bag at Joe Pool

The usual suspects met at Lynn Creek Marina Wednesday. Since the crappie showed no interest it was up to the sunfish and the rough fish.

I caught a mixed bag of bluegill, green sunfish, longear, bass and catfish. The rough fishermen caught carp and buffalo. I did not see a sunfish longer than 7 inches. The bite for all species was slow from 6AM until sunup, then it stopped.

The cold rain all last week may have set the sunfish back. Also, the retaining wall is under reconstruction at the marina and the noise and splashing of two big backhoes probably did not help.

Looks like you really had to work for em. At least you caught some. Good job.





Side Note: Been finding eggs in a lot of the Bluegill I have caught the past two weeks.

Nice gills...thats one of my go-to spots there at Lynn Creek on Joe Pool. Nice size gills hang under the bridge you walk down to get to the marina. Stand on the dock and toss under the bridge then get ready for some "Action"
