A Change of Pace. River/Creek Fishing. - 03/25/15 05:51 AM
Been busy chasing Crappie and kind of took a break from the sunnies. Changed the pace and hit the Comal River and a couple of local creeks to catch some sunnies. The bite was good and all of the water bodies are in great shape. Caught some nice Redbreast in the 8 to 9 inch range, some fat Bluegill in the 7 to 8 inch range, some fat Greens in the 6 to 8 inch range, some nice Bass in the 2 to 4 pound range and rounding out the catch were some fat Red/Orange spotted sunfish. I also bagged my fourth Rio of the year. A nice 8 inch fish. Fish were caught using worms with both float and bottom techniques being used. All fish were released to fight again. I saw numerous bass staying on nest. Won't belong and the gills will follow. Fish were in 3 to 8 feet of water. Some good weekday creek and river fishing. It just don't get any better.
