Mcqueeney 10-5-18. - 10/06/18 02:20 AM
Fished Lake Mcqueeney from my kayak today. Fished from 8am till 2pm. The bite was good from 9am till 11:30am. Slowed down from 11:30am till 1pm and then totally stopped after 1pm. Fished the main lake. Caught some nice Bluegill in the 8 to 9 inch range fishing docks in 12 to 16 feet of water. Also picked up several nice Redear by the Treasure Island Bridge in 10 feet of water. Small crank baits Silver/Blue and Chartreuse/Black were the colors that got the best results. Had one nice bass about 4 pounds and several others that were in the two pound range. The water was clear. All fish were released to fight again! Love fishing those Guadalupe River Lakes.
Thanks for the report Curtis. I fished Mcqueeney a couple of times this past week and the water has cleared up nicely. Also caught some nice Rios and Redear. Fished the main river channel west side.

Banker...Thanks 4 the report. There used to be a channel between the lily pads and the bank around treasure island...opposite lake side...is it still there and fishable ? ...I used to catch a lot of bass in there, but that was many years ago.
