Colorado trout - 08/07/18 12:08 AM

My buddy told me he was going on vacation to Colorado and asked me what lures he should use there. I sent him a link to flags back from the high country post. He got some superdupers and some mepps spinners at academy i also gave him a couple handtied jigs to try. He said he caught 1 on a superduper and the rest on the jigs. I never knew trout liked crappie jigs

Nice. Jigs can be very effective for trout. I use black and olive colored jigs a lot of the time if I am fishing lakes. If I had dime for every trout I have caught on jigs I could make a down payment on a new truck. Where was he fishing?

I think Leo and Yesenia's jigs could catch fish in just about any water body as well! hooked

A crappie jig is my go to in fast water for trout where there are not fly restrictions. If you use enough weight, you can almost fish it like a plastic worm...
you did your buddy good!

How cool. This winter I will try to catch a speckled trout on one of the jigs Yesenia sent me.
