Winter Time Creek Fishing!

With this latest warm spell in full swing I decided to fish a creek. This is a first time creek fishing for 2018. The bite was very good. Caught Longear,Bluegill,Redbreast,and a stray Rio! Fish were located next to brush piles close to the bank and at the end of some currents. Worms with a bottom technique were used. All fish were released. We can really use some rain. The water bodies are starting to get low. Getting some winter time creek fishing in! It just don't get any better!

Thanks drrouter and Ledeez for the replies. Winter time has always been a good time to fish creeks. I catch my bigger creek bass during the winter. Hope to do a little more creek fishing this year!

Great report Chuck! Was going to try to fish a creek this week but after the soaking decided to let things dry up some. This latest rain is really going to help out the area creeks! Any resent creek updates?

Thanks Curtis,Leo,and Champion Fish for the replies. Curtis: I have fished the creeks recently and the fish are getting active. This past rain has helped but several more soakings would really get the creeks in GREAT shape. Leo: Yes Sir that was the first Rio of the year! That is always a good sign! Champion Fish: I wish there were White Bass in the creeks I fish!

Good post and fish Chuck. You really work for them fishing those creeks! Also congrats on your first Rio of the season! Have you caught anymore? Also how does the creek fishing look for this year?

Going to be a super year for creek fishing. Also got 4.25" of rain the past two days! This is really going to help the local water bodies.
