4-way trailer end plug - 8 wires

4-way trailer end plug - 8 wires - 01/30/16 10:44 PM

I am looking for a replacement for the trailer end 4-way harness plug for my caravan trailer. The weird thing is it has 8 wires coming out the back of the plug:

3 white
3 brown
1 yellow
1 green

The plug says Wesbar but I think it is private label. I haven't seen any plugs with this setup. I guess I can connect all the whites together and so on, but this is going to be a lot of work. Any idea where I can find this plug?

Wesbar does not make this type of plug any longer. Easiest thing is to terminate each color at a new four flat plug.

That stinks...it is a 2013 trailer. I wouldn't think it would have obsolete parts.

Let me restate that....Wesbar does not list that plug on any product list. Check at the dealer where you bought it?

Picture is worth a 1,000 words, sometimes more, what you looking at?

Looks like they have each ground separated and if I recall correctly the brown is parking lights, most likely each parking light on the trailer goes to those.

Brown is running lights, tail, license and side marker lights.

I got all my problems solved. I just clipped a section out of the frayed wires and put in a butt connector. The actual problem I was having was with a clearance light on the fender. It turned out to be a broken wire in a connector in the towards the back of the boat.
