"TrailerAid" question...

Going to get one of these with the blk rubber pads for more lift soon. I have looked at pics and read the "descriptions" but what I can't figure out is...What is the purpose of the 4 metal screws in the bottom?

To keep it from sliding on hard surface.

I was kinda figuring that too.
