Bowfin honey hole

Took my son today for some bowfin action!!! This particular spot is interesting. The water is fairly clear and literally the bowfin would swim right up to us as if to investigate. We would then drop some cut bait in their face and game on. LOL. Very interesting behavior though. Has anyone else ever witnessed this while wading? Multiple bowfin would "investigate". Look down and they would be within a foot or so of you. Great trip! Love some Fathers Day Fishing!
