Ok not suck but I'm well below average. I've been at Lake Austin for a couple days now and had one bite, I caught him but still. I've used about everything I have and everything I know to do. Do I suck or sometimes the fish just don't bite?

I casted from twenty yards to 100. Had one good run this morning and pulled the hook, long story I screwed up. I moved lakes though and did pretty good.

During the winter months I remember going for days without a nibble at Emma Long Park.Usually October is a good month there. I think you hit a cold front passing through may have slowed the bite.I don't think Lake Austin is What it used to be especially for common carp and buffalo. It was amazing you caught a common carp without catching any grass carp. That one is a beauty! Also the summer floods may have washed some fish out of the lake cause they had all the gates open for weeks.

the bite in Austin is tough right now so no you don't suck, I have been there quite a few times and blanked, go back in a few weeks and you just might haul, she giveth and taketh
