Potential Gar Guiding Advice - 01/23/16 07:22 PM

I'll be graduating college here this coming December and will start having my weekends completely free till the kids start popping out.. My girlfriend's family has some property on the Trinity river in Centerville literally right on the river. I've caught some nice gar out there before and know there's great potential for a monster out there.

My idea is getting a decent aluminum boat with some more poles and the bite detectors I've seen some guides use and just go to whichever one is getting bit at the time. I could keep fishermen overnight as well as meals and such. Just trying to get a slim idea of what I could charge people to do this?

Thanks for any info,
Cameron

So its like the Gator Gar Bed & Breakfast? As you would be just starting out, and have limited experience, I think what you should do is charge as a B&B and the fishing is a bonus, until you start to get a rep and show ability to consistently produce fish.
