Cold and Rainy day Carp fishing Denton 2016 - 01/07/16 12:54 AM
The past few days I have blanked fishing for carp. In fact today was my first carp of 2016. I went out early in the rain and got a 5 or 6 pounder fishing out of my car. I was so happy to have my first carp of the new year I packed it up shorlty after catching the one fish and went home for lunch. Soon after lunch I quickly got bored with TV and headed to walmart to buy more bait. Time to try again even though it was still very cold and rainy. Withing 10 minutes of putting my first line I got a 17lb carp. The rest of the after noon was full of bites and fish. Even ot a double today! Ended the day with 6 common carp total. Im certain I could have caught more had I stayed longer but I had somewhere to be at 5:30 today. All this was done at my favorite little fishing hole in Denton called Norhtlakes pond (south).
