is the bite good when the lake is hundred yards up the grass. do the carp come up that shallow to feed.

I have seen carp & buffalo during times of low precipitation below the dam when there was just a trickle of water being released. The water at that time can be extremely shallow. I would venture to guess that yes they would.

The fish are acting weird now. I think all the new water has them thinking...."ruh roh..I can't find my house". lol.. Seems like they ( all species) are very scattered. I have seen plenty of Carp in spillways recently. Otherwise when targeting carp, buffalo, chum an area and bring em in. wink
