Gar fishing Elm fork trinity

Hi, im new to fishing around dfw area and heard there was fish to be caught in the elm fork trinity by luna. I was in texoma the other week and caught a pretty nice size gator gar while striper fishing. i would like to target some closer to home. Has anyone been fishing in that area lately?
